The Argument
Al Gore thinks cleaning up our earth and changing our actions should be our main priority as humans right now. In the film he says "After the horrible events of 9/11 we said never again, but this is what would happen to Manhattan." Then he goes on to show an animation of water drowning the state of New York all because of the melted ice bergs. Al then says "Is it possible that we should prepare against other threats besides terrorist? Maybe we should be concerned about other problems as well." I like what he means by this because it's him wondering why we care so much about things happening in each little place on the Earth but we fail to see that our entire Earth is dying as a whole anyways. This kind of makes us stupid. This whole situation is kind of like if you were living in a house that was slowly being filled with methane gas but you kept worrying about your floors being scratched all the time.
I think this whole movie was Al Gore telling us (including himself) that we're all inconsiderate. We live on this beautiful green, healthy earth with tons of canyons, waterfalls, fields of flowers, and crystal caves but we're up here on the crust of the earth living like pigs. We build factories that create smoke every second of every day; polluting our air and wrecking our ozone layer for what? So we can make the most money?

"Separating the truth from the fiction and the accurate connections from the misunderstandings is part of what you learn here but when the warnings are accurate and based on sound science then we as human beings whatever country we live in, have to find a way to make sure that the warnings are heard and responded to."
