EFFECTIVE film TECHNIQUES
A small variety of film techniques were used in this movie. One I noticed the most was animation. You would be watching Al Gore present his speech to the audience and then an animation would come on screen to assist his point. An example of this would be the frog in boiling water to represent us as humans and how we react to change for the worst.
Another technique I noticed was camera movement. They also film Al in a vlog-like form while he attended meetings and travelled in this film. They also used a lot of over the shoulder conversation camera techniques to see what questions Al was asking the environmentalists at his meetings.
Some other techniques I noticed were videos of where he travelled coming into place as he talked about them at his shows and instead of filming the actual graphs he had at his show they put the graphs on their own in the documentary and turned them into animations so it would be clearer and easier for the viewers at home to grasp and recognize. He would have voice overs where pictures of what he was saying showed up on screen.
